About the Collector

Douglas Leechman (1891–1980) was an anthropologist at the National Museum of Canada (now the Canadian Museum of Civilization) from 1925 to 1956. In the summer of 1946, he conducted fieldwork among the Vuntut Gwitchin of Old Crow, Yukon.
